Thermal bridges are the main cause of mold growth in buildings. Heat escapes permanently through them, the surface temperature of the outer walls and adjacent inner walls drops and the affected rooms cool down. The deposition of condensation and mold are the consequences.

The hygienic and health consequences of thermal bridges should not be minimised either: the formation of condensation on cool walls inevitably leads to the formation of mold and can lead to health problems such as allergies and even asthma.
