An Iberian ham from sierra mayor gets the Guinness record for the most expensive ham in the world. The ham has been sold to a Japanese customer for more than 11,881 euros. It is 100% pure Iberian pork, Bellota quality, made in the Sierra de Aracena, Huelva.

The award-winning ham comes from a 100% pure Iberian pig, Bellota quality, processed at two years of age and raised in freedom, together with his herd brothers, in the pastures of SIERRA MAYOR, located in the provinces of Badajoz and Huelva.

Without a doubt, this is good news for the Spanish Iberian pig sector, which with this recognition achieves a boost of optimism in these difficult times.
