Technically, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is based on the new electric platform E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) from the Koreans, which is optimized for plug-in hybrids, hydrogen drives and pure battery drives.

All Ioniq 5 electric cars have an 800 volt DC fast-charging system. The batteries should be able to be charged from ten to 80% within 18 minutes. If the model only hangs on the fast charger for five minutes, a range of 100 kilometres is possible. The basic model costs 41,990 euros.
